Eligibility
Who can join
Any full-time or retired law enforcement officer may join the FOP.
Specifically: you can join if you are a regularly appointed or elected and full-time employed law enforcement officer of the United States, any state or political subdivision thereof, or any agency.
Our membership committee performs a background check on every applicant to confirm current or honorably retired status before the lodge votes on the application.
